Terms of Service

Draft — not yet in effect. This document is being prepared and has not completed legal review. The final version will be published here before paid subscriptions open.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") will govern your use of the LegalWebDesigns subscription, websites, hosting and software. They are a working draft. The contracting entity, governing law, liability terms and the commercial terms marked "to be confirmed" on the pricing page must be completed and reviewed by counsel before this document takes effect.

1. Who we are

LegalWebDesigns ("we", "us") is a software and web services provider. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. [Legal entity name, registered address and registration number — to be completed.]

2. The service

The complete plan includes a law firm website on a domain you own, hosting, an SSL certificate, help registering or connecting your domain, practice management software for your whole team, AI features that run on your own AI provider key, and support through the customer dashboard. Setup and provisioning are included; there is no setup fee.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and make sure people you invite to your firm account are authorized to act for the firm. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Fees and billing

The setup fee is $0. The subscription is billed in advance, monthly ($49) or yearly ($490), through our payment provider. Your subscription becomes active only after the provider confirms your payment. Your rate stays the same while you remain subscribed; if pricing changes we will tell you well in advance. If a payment fails, your website stays online in read-only mode during a grace period and your data is not deleted. [Taxes and the length of the grace period — to be confirmed.]

5. Cancellation and refunds

There are no long-term contracts. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; the service continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Your first payment is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. You own your website, your domain and your data, and you may export your data at any time, including after cancellation. [Refund mechanics and domain transfer procedure — to be confirmed by counsel.]

6. Your content and compliance

You own the content you supply. You are responsible for ensuring your website content and advertising comply with the rules of professional conduct and advertising rules that apply to your firm.

7. AI features

AI features produce drafts and suggestions that may be inaccurate. An attorney must review any AI output before relying on it or sharing it. AI features that use your own AI provider key are also subject to that provider's terms.

8. Acceptable use

Your use of the service must follow our Acceptable Use Policy.

9. Changes

We will give notice of material changes to these Terms. [Notice period — to be confirmed.]
